Hire Terms & Conditions

We are a small business currently run from our home. 

If there is anything you would like to see before completing the booking please let us know. 


Items can be collected from Sadlers Woodhouse and the hire period is 4 days. This hopefully gives you enough time to set up and take down for your event. If further time is needed this can be discussed at the time of booking. 

Wood Items

Our wood is sourced locally from a variety of mixed woodland and nearby wood merchants. It is mostly air dried and sanded, which due to the natural process of drying, cracks can appear and bark can become loose. This, for us, creates character and charm giving each slice a different look.  


To secure your event date and items we require a minimum of 20% non refundable deposit on booking and the terms and conditions will be sent to you to be signed. 

Full payment is required 14 days before your event.

Terms and conditions will be sent to you to be signed.

How do I pay?

Bank Transfer, our details will be provided on booking. If it helps, instalments can be made in the lead up to your wedding.

Is there a minimum order amount? 

No, we are happy to hire out small amounts. 

How much notice is required?

As much as possible, especially if items are being personalised or made. 

For example the wooden name place settings we suggest once your invites are sent out you send us a spreadsheet of names. Once you have had confirmation of an RSVP to then let us know and we can start making the names in preparation for your wedding, ticking the names off as we go.

Delivery Option

We regularly work with local wedding venues and deliver free to Combe Manor Barns, Templars Barn and Forest Edge Tipis.

Items are to be collected from Sadlers Woodhouse which is based in Hungerford, Berkshire. 

We can also deliver your items within a 10 mile radius of Sadlers Woodhouse. If your event is further a field a cost will be charged at 45p per mile. Please be aware this will be charged for delivery and collection.

Do you style the event? 

All the items are for hire and are perfect for the DIY wedding giving you free reign to set them up as you wish for your wedding.  

Although we don’t style and set up your event we are happy to discuss your wedding to help you with ideas.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes. If you or the venue require a certificate we are happy to send a copy.

Breakages and Misplaced Items

We understand accidents happen, however many of our items are hard to come by and have  taken time to make. Therefore at the time of booking we will require a £50 breakages payment. This will be refunded once the items are returned and fully checked having no damage or being misplaced.

Our items are rustic and vintage. Any items which are hired are the responsibility of the hirer until they are returned to Sadlers Woodhouse. 

We accept no responsibility for any injury caused during the hire period.
